A personal blog about individual style, womanhood and learning to live my life by design.
Growing up with an artistic mother, Annette has been immersed in creative expression for as long as she can remember. Her artistic career began in front of the camera, acting in numerous independent films throughout Philadelphia and New York, but directing and producing became her inspiration to create from behind the camera. As a media director, she oversaw production of documentaries, radio bits, online video magazines with local Philadelphia talent, and music videos for Grammy-award winning Hip-Hop and R&B artists. As a special projects manager, Annette edited the poetic literary memoir, Junkie Witness. Currently, she is an independent consultant partnering with Drs. Rodan and Fields and she works as a project manager for a non-profit organization involved in script-writing and pre and post-production of marketing videos.
Annette loves hanging out with her teenage son Jackson, and as co-owner of GurlCo Media is currently producing three podcast shows and in development for a DIY web series based in Philadelphia.
